About Marathon
Marathon IT Consulting helps businesses at any stage look as professional online as they are in person, and gives them a technology partner for whatever comes next.

Eric Valdes · Owner & Founder
Eric is a northern New Jersey native with more than 15 years in technology across education, media and entertainment, intellectual property and professional services, including Classic Media, DreamWorks Animation and NBCUniversal. His work has spanned technology strategy, project planning, budgeting and change management.
Before his technology career, Eric worked as an electrician. That gives him a practical appreciation for what it takes to run a trade business: long days, real customers and no patience for technology that gets in the way.
He earned a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Manhattan College, with a focus in computer and electrical engineering.
Why “Marathon”?
Eric is a distance runner. He has completed a 365-day running streak of more than 2,600 miles and is working toward the Abbott World Marathon Majors.
The same mindset shapes the business: prepare well, take clear steps, and follow through to the finish. For clients, that means a defined project, understandable decisions, a useful handoff, and a partner who’s still there for the next mile.
“To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.”
